David Kaye (born David V. Hope on October 14, 1964) is a Canadian voice actor. Some of his more popular roles include Professor X from X-Men Evolution, Treize Khushrenada from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Captain America and Nick Fury in the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 video game, Clank in the Ratchet and Clank series, Mysterio in Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions, Superman and Hawkman in DC Super Friends, Commissoner James Gordon in Batman: Arkham City, Cronus from Class of the Titans and Sesshomaru from InuYasha. He's also voiced a certain Decepticon several times. Yeeessssss... He recently did the opening narration and voiced Patrick O'Hara in G.I. Joe: Renegades, and doing addtional voices in Regluar Show. His Transformers Roles are Megatron in the Beast Era, and the Unicron Trilogy, Optimus Prime and Lugnut in Transformers: Animated, and a role in Transformers: Prime.

Kaye originally began his voice acting career as a member of the Canadian voice acting union, doing voice over work exclusively in Canada. In 2007, he moved to the US, joining the American voice acting union in LA and now does voice over work exclusively in the States.

He has a BIG boost of confidence!

Triva

  • "I have been really lucky with the direction my career has taken ... I’ve been able to do my own thing." That "thing" includes dead-on comic timing and a flair for intense dramatics. The six-foot, brown-haired Kaye comes by his flamboyance naturally, since he counts Captain Blood -- the infamous model for actor Errol Flynn's most swashbuckling role -- as one of his family ancestors.
  • While Recording Arkham City, he happens to be a fan of Mark Hamills Work.
